A good day's sailing was had at Tamesis Club in the first holding of the revived Three Burgee trophy between Minima, Tamesis and Thames. The sun was shining and the there was a consistent breeze across most of the course.

The event was once a team race between the three clubs, however is now held as a pursuit race, largely because of the variety of classes sailed across the clubs.

To maintain the spirit of team racing, the winning club is decided by combining the scores of the first three finishers from each club.

This year the winner was Tamesis, with a first, a fourth and a fifth.

From TSC, Osprey scored an impressive second and was only a hundred meters or so behind the lead boat when the finish klaxon sounded.

Ben Hughes and Gideon Crees sailed very well to finish eighths in a Fusion 2. The pair had been fourth until the last minute but were taken by a couple of Lasers and Merlins right at the end.

Also sailing from TSC was Scamp from the Rater fleet and Ted and Richard Neal in the other Fusion 2. Ted helmed his first major race and put up a fine performance!

Well done to everyone who raced and a big thanks to all those who helped out.

Next year it will be Thames turn to host!
