Easter Regatta is a hit

There was a good turnout for 2025's Easter Regatta, with nine boats competing in good sailing conditions. Once again, the club's new Fusions proved popular with members, mixing it with a privately owned Merlin Rocket, Albacore and Laser.
The one-day handicap event was made up of a four-race series, and Chris Martin and Jemma Horwood in their speedy Merlin won three of the four races to take the wonderful Dennis Peters trophy, a silver galleon. But, once handicaps were taken into account, other sailors pushed them hard, and Leander Koutsoudis-Bhuller in a Fusion 1 took the last race and second overall. Behind him Paul Browning with daughter Annabellie took third in their Fusion 2.
After the racing there were pizzas to go with the prizegiving, rounding off a really fun day.
