Friday Youth Sailing (limited places)
You've learned to sail - what next?
Time on the water is the only way to improve, and that's just what Thames Sailing Club's Friday youth sailing sessions are all about.
If your child has recently completed their RYA learn to sail course and is eager to do more, why not sign them up to the Friday youth sailing sessions during term time between April and July. It's the perfect chance for kids to sail and race with peers regularly.
Kids will be able to use the boats they trained on, including brand new Fusions and Fusion 2s, as well as club Toppers and Picos and the sessions are led by an RYA qualified instructor from Keep Sailing.
Details:
- When and where: Fridays 4 - 6pm at Thames Sailing Club
- Eligibility: Exclusive to TSC Junior or Family members age 7+. Contact membership@thamessailingclub.co.uk to register
- Cost: £75 for the season
- Format: Lead by an RYA Senior Instructor. Note: Friday Youth Sessions are not formal training RYA certification courses
- Equipment: Club boats (i.e. Toppers and Fusions) provided. Paddleboarding or indoor activities will substitute if inclement weather
- Parental Involvement: A responsible adult must remain on-site to assist with the session i.e. rigging, shore support, power-boat etc.
What to Bring:
- Sailing gear (shoes, hat, gloves)
- Towel, suncream, and a full change of clothes
- Note: Food and drink are not provided
