Thames Sailing Club is pleased to announce the following courses:
First Aid - Saturday 4th October 2014
One day course following RYA approved syllabus. This course is suitable for work-based requirements as well as being excellent for all forms of water-based activities. Duration one day. Cost:- members, £30.00 non-members £35.00. For more information please click here.
RYA Powerboat Level 1 & 2 - Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th October 2014
This course covers the theory and practice of handling the club's powerboats on local waters. As well as being a requirement for all RYA teaching qualifications, many members find it is a very useful course to gain confidence in using the TSC powerboats during safety boat duties etc. Duration 2 days. VHF Radio - Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st September
This course is mandatory for anybody wishing to use a marine VHF radio. It is, therefore, an essential requirement for all skippers of recreational craft. For more information please click here.
RYA Day Skipper Theory - Starts Wednesday 17th September 2014, 1900-2130, 12x evenings
This course is essential preparation for the RYA Day Skipper Practical Course. You do not need to have had any formal training in navigation or sailing to successfully complete this course. Cost £375. For more information please click here.
RYA Yachtmaster/Coastal Skipper Theory - Starts Monday 15th September 2014, 19002130, 12x evenings
This course is is an advanced course aimed at students who wish to skipper a yacht on longer coastal passages or who are working towards the Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster Offshore practical exams. It requires knowledge equivalent to the Day Skipper Theory and some practical experience is also recommended. For more information please click here.
