Offshore Skills Training

Thames Sailing Club is pleased to announce three new Offshore Skills courses:
RYA Day Skipper Theory - 12x Wednesday Evenings 1900 2130 from Wednesday 17th September 2014
This course is essential preparation for the RYA Day Skipper Practical Course. You do not need to have had any formal training in navigation or sailing to successfully complete this course.
RYA Yachtmaster/Coastal Skipper Theory - 12x Monday Evenings 1900 2130 from Monday 15th September 2014
This course is is an advanced course aimed at students who wish to skipper a yacht on longer coastal passages or who are working towards the Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster Offshore practical exams. It requires knowledge equivalent to the Day Skipper Theory and some practical experience is also recommended.
VHF Radio - 1.5 days - 20th September, 10.00-17.00 + 21st September, 10.00-13.00
This course is mandatory for anybody wishing to use a marine VHF radio. It is, therefore, an essential requirement for all skippers of recreational craft.
