    Dear All, Time, it seems to go in a blur these days and so now that all of the Raters are safely tucked up in their beds it seems fitting to reflect on the last couple of months and the season as a whole. The Yates Cup and Braganza bowl was moved to a weekend in early October, which reduced the clashes with other events and produced a fine turn-out of 10 Raters. Racing was excellent and close with 4 boats within 4 boats within 6 points of each other after 5 races. Adventurer took the honours winning both the Yates

  • Sunday 6 November - Last Series Race of the Season

    This Sunday sees the last Series race of the Season, the Chilli Wotsit 5/5. Weather depending, we're hoping you can make it down to beg, borrow, but not steal, a boat and to get out and compete in the two races we have planned. Dress up warm and wear suitable clothing as it's getting colder! We're hoping also to continue Sunday sailing up to and including the Christmas Pudding race (11 Dec), again dependent upon the weather and conditions, so check out the club Facebook page ( to see what's going on week by week.     Awards Ceremony - Saturday 19 November

    [Silence please and drum roll...] Ladies and gentlemen, it's our event of the year, it's time for our: Annual Awards Ceremony - Saturday 19th November from 7:30pm until late It's the big night of the year and marks the end of another great year of sailing at Thames.   • Three Club Burgee - Sunday 30th October @Minima

    This coming Sunday, 30 October, sees the annual 3 Club Burgee Trophy between ourselves, Tamesis Club and Minima Yacht Club . Race start time is 1100 at Minima so come on down and support the three TSC Merlins that will be competing. This year we have a first with TSC fielding an all female helm team.     Dear all, Sunday 23rd October will see the last race of the season for our fabulous Thames A Raters who'll be competing for the Dennis Peters Trophy before they go into the sheds for the winter. It's the last chance for them to win a trophy this year so it promises to be a competitive race, so come down and spectate from the balcony. The race start time is 11am. We'll be celebrating the race and their end of season with a Sunday Buffet lunch, starting at 1:30pm, in the club house afterwards and this is, of course, open to all

    Thames Sailing Club Open Day - Sailing and Stand Up Paddling - Saturday 17 September

    Ever wanted to try Sailing or Stand Up Paddle-boarding? Surbo16 this year will take place from Saturday 17th September to Saturday 24th September. It will all kick-off down at the riverside with Thames Sailing Club holding an open day. If you've ever wanted to try Sailing or Stand Up Paddle-boarding (SUP) then come down to the Thames Sailing Club on Saturday 17th September from 11:00am onwards and experts will be on hand to teach you a little about sailing or stand up paddle-boarding.     Dear Members, It has been a Summer of events with great representation both at Thames Sailing Club and wider afield. China Bowl one of the most prestigious Rater Cups sailed for at TSC saw a good turn out and very tight racing with 3 boats taking a race win, ultimately Vagabond took the trophy with Osprey second and Scamp third, there was a great barbeque enjoyed by all of the sailors on Saturday evening, thank you to all involved. Tuesday 13th September - Last Tuesday Night for Racing Yes, it's that time of the year already and we only have two more Tuesday's left (6th and 13th) in the calendar.
