Synopsis of the April General Committee Meeting

General

• AGM date has been provisionally set as 3rd Feb 2008 subject to the accounts being audited
• Bar profits are up around 40% on previous years takings
• Each event in the future, be they social or sailing, will have a 'champion' who is responsible for catering, bar and locking up. They are also responsible for agreeing budgets beforehand and tallying takings after the event. Standard templates are being created to facilitate this.

• The club has been given a rib. Alexis is looking at the viability of the craft

• Sign to be put up to say that clothing left in the changing rooms after 30 November will be auctioned

• New Member Paul Gouk approved

• Year book budget, based on the budget for last year’s year book. 250 copies to be printed. Budget set as £1,000

• Catering pots and platters to be augmented. Budget £500

Raters

• A volunteer is sought to become the Rater Association news hound. Their job would be to dig up interesting titbits of info and nominate individuals to produce reports for all major Rater events
