Thames Sailing Club
What a turnout! The syndicates came good with every Rater floating out racing on a Tuesday Evening. And what entertaining racing particularly when half the fleet piled up below the bottom mark! Each boat had at least one guest in the crew and after 3 short races, prizes were award to the winning visitors.
The clubhouse was packed for supper with approximately 25 guests in attendence and 75 members.Indeed our Rear Commodore had to go out during the event to get extra food!
Judging by all the "Thank You" messages we received the visitors thoroughly enjoyed the Rater's and the warm hospitality they received. Many expressed interest in joining the club. The best comment of the evening came from Betty Dunn, who said. " It was just like the old days when the club was buzzing". Thanks to Ossie Stewart and Mark Staite for organising the event.
