TSC Hosts Inter-club Social
A formal invitation was issued to members of the General and Sailing committees to attend the Club on Thur 26th April. Invitations had also been sent to the committees of Hampton, Minima and Tamesis clubs. At 7.30pm the crowds poured in and after drinks and nibbles were handed round a call to a most delightful multi choice main course, desert and cheese and biscuits buffet was issued.
The informal approach to the evening, hosted with great enthusiasm by The TSC Committee, proved highly successful in developing a better rapport between all parties both at a club to club level and also on a role to role basis. The Commodore of Hampton thanked TSC and offered to host a similar event next year to further develop the rapport between members and clubs.
Andy Christie started the evening with a welcome to all and after the meal thanked Negla for setting up the event and Gill for her culinary skills that were appreciated by all.
A view was expressed that it was good to see Thames Sailing Club undertaking a leading role in the area and fulfilling its position as the 'senior social' club on the river.
