Thames Sailing ClubOur newest club member 'Frostie'. He has applied for temporary membership because he may not be living in Surbiton for long. He has been proposed and seconded by a number of club members who popped down to the club late this afternoon whilst 'working-from-home'. They were joined by several cadet members whose schools were closed for the day. All confirm that 'Frostie' is one 'cool' guy and at over 10 feet tall, a big hit with neighbours and passers-by. He is keen to promote sailing at TSC and has agreed to hand-out leaflets over the next couple of days. Than our Newest Member (he won't be round for long)!
Thanks 'Frostie' keep up the good work.
FROSTIE MURDERED IN COLD SNOWIt is with great regret that we have to inform you of the cold blooded (and we mean cold) murder of our newest member 'Frostie'. During the night he was decapitated by person or persons unknown. During the ruthless attack two other snow people were mercilessly thrown from the club wall in to the Portsmouth Road. Chief suspects are 'those pesky kids' from the university.
Although only a member for a few hours Frostie made several friends and certainly melted a few hearts. Weather permitting we hope to hold a wake to his memory in the club bar. There is an upside, We are hoping to make some carrot soup on a coal fired stove using ingredients found in the car park.
