Places to Stay near the Club
Options for accomodation are arranged in an approximate order of cost and then in distance from the club though the new addition this year of a Holiday Inn about half a mile from the club is listed first. If you use any of these suggestions we'd really appreciate any feedback you can give on them.
Camping
Being a London club we typically have very little grassed area for camping. We can however accomodate a handfull of tents at the club on the 'sunset strip' - a narrow grass strip at the top of a grass bank overlooking the river. We also have members who live nearby who are willing to loan the use of their gardens during open events. Contact Ben on 07715 501518 for details of options and availability of spaces
Youth Hostel

NEW! - Holiday Inn

Brand new last October. Room rates with breakfast from about £80.50 (dbl) per night for a non-flexible rate. Have offered a flexible (refundable) rate of £89 to competitors (quote 'Thames Sailing Club' when booking). Bear in mind on-line prices are ex-VAT.

Hermes Hotel

Family run 17th Century hotel facing the river just downstream from the club. Room rates start from £43 per night. Some comeptitors stayed here last year - said that the decor is dated and it's a bit down at heel.

Large 100 room function hotel so likely to be well booked during summer weekends for weddings. On-line booking available.

The Raintree (formerly Tiger Joe's)

Formerly a pub and now an Indian Restaurant with rooms above. Not all bedrooms are on-suite. As it's an Indian it might be a bit noisy if you plan an early night. Weekend rates start at £45 per night (shared bathroom), £65 per night (en-suite) including breakfast.

The Ditton Lodge

Ditton Lodge is an elegant family run Edwardian house with lots of character and original features. It has been recently extended and renovated providing luxurious rooms and the latest wi-fi technology.
It is located in a quiet tree-lined conservation area a short distance from the river. All the rooms are en-suite. Rates start from £58 inclusive of breakfast.

The White Hart Hotel
Distance from TSC - by road 1.9 miles however we'll happily ferry you across the river and then it's a 10 min stroll along the towpath. TSC to White Hart printable map
A pub masquerading as a hotel. It's close to the centre of Kingston so is likely to be noisy on a weekend. Prices start from £100 for a double/twin.
