Thames Sailing ClubThe Cadet Paddle is not a paddling event! The Paddle referred to is the paddle which hangs in the club and is engraved with the names of past winners. The Cadet paddle is the premier annual competition for the Cadet members of the club. This year it will comprise (2 short races with the first start at 14:00). This is a handicap event so cadets can compete in any dinghy. Past winners include Tom Hamilton and Daisy Tennant Thomas and is a good opportunity for new younger members to distinguish themselves.Running alongside the Cadet Paddle is the Novice Day; the races will be run under the same format as above and at the same time; with different prizes being awarded. Novices are those members new to the club and sailing.
There will be normal club racing in the morning starting at the regular time and the Cadets and Novices are encouraged to participate in the first race as a practise. We would also encourage other members to come along and provide support.
