Firefly Open
It's the Firefly's 60th Anniversary year and to help celebrate this we have organised a joint open meeting over two days with our friends at Tamesis.
Thames is hosting the Saturday with Party/BBQ afterwards. As this coincides with the tow and the final days training we need help.
I specifically need help in the following areas:-
Visitors arriving in the morning.
· Car park Attendant - high viz jacket available. 9.00 am - 11.00 am (2 persons)
· Collection of money. Entrance fee's, BBQ, entry forms etc. 9.30 am - 11.30 am (2 persons)
· General help on the hard as boats are being towed up from Tamesis and throughout the day it will be busy. 10.00 am till 5.00 pm
· Volunteer to take Cora to Tamesis to help tow boats 9.30 am - 10.30 am
· Catering Bacon Butties 9.30 am - 11.00 (2 persons)
Racing.
· Need three people for the race box 10.30 am for three races then start race to Tamesis.
· Protest Committee - help Race Officer
· Rescue boat cover, dependant on weather.
Lunchtime
· Catering are sorting out Ploughman's but I am sure they would like help.
· Bar - help appreciated.
BBQ
· Need a team of BBQers. 6.00 pm - 9.00 pm
The BBQ starts at 7.00 pm - if you wish to reserve food I will leave out the usual list on the clipboard. (same as booking supper)
Please help this event promises to be well attended and I don't think we have had an open meeting on this scale for a while.

Small Boat Series
Don’t forget that next Sunday is the first Sunday of the month. That means that the Raters race in the mornings and the handicap fleet race after lunch. This will be the first real test of the split racing concept as a large part of the Rater fleet will be on the water by the weekend. Hopefully we’ll get plenty of participants for both!
Spring Cocktail Party
This coming Saturday (6th)is the spring cocktail party. Dress is smart casual and the event is open to all members and their guests - the more the merrier!
Ticket price is £12.00 to include light nibbles and unlimited cocktails for three hours.
Cocktails will be served from 19.00 until 22.00.
